Summary of the most important events for the last 24 hours as presented during the press briefing of NSDC on July 30, 2014
These and the following news have been reported today during the press briefing by NSDC Information centre spokesman Andriy Lysenko. Maps of the situation in the ATO zone as of July 30 and July 29 are added below.
The terrorists have introduced curfew in the town of Rovenki in Donetsk oblast. It is forbidden to move on private vehicles, there is no water and food in stores.
Terrorists began forced mobilization in the town of Horlivka [Donetsk oblast]. Most of local men are in hiding. There are 6 ‘Grad’ systems in the area of product market.
Also terrorists continue to establish their firing positions at civilian objects.
When leaving the towns and settlements terrorists try to destroy the utility infrastructure. The destruction of means of communication is of strategical importance for them. Thus people wouldn’t be able to receive the information of what is going on in the country. It has been decided in the Ministry of Defense to print additional circulations of the newspaper ‘Narodna Armiya’ [People’s Army] to be spread in released towns.
