Anti-terrorist centre is creating a safe corridor for evacuation of civilians from ATO region in Donetsk and Lugansk oblast.
June 12, 2014 – Press centre of Security Service informed that ATO head had received a number of instructions in order to organize safe evacuation of people who want to leave the dangerous region.
In particular: to determine block posts through which safe transportation of people will be realized.
In addition, on the basis of existing capabilities, provide them with drinking water and medical supplies for first aid for civilians that wished to leave the area of ATO; appoint responsible persons from the personnel that is placed on certain checkpoints to ensure the legality, continuity and effectiveness of measures to control the movement of people and goods through the appropriate checkpoints.
Also resolve the issue to organize the dissemination of information among the civilian population on creating rescue corridor and access control procedure to ensure the implementation of checkpoints and enhanced verification measures on certain checkpoints to prevent their use for the separatist movement from the area of ATO.
