100% of votes have been processed and calculated by Central Electoral Commission and Ukraine has finally got its new parliament. The voting turnout was 52% and residents of occupied territories did not have possibility to express their will. Ukrainians have voted for the following parties: People’s Front – 22 % [led by current Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk], Bloc of Petro Poroshenko – 21%, Samopomich or Self Reliance – 11% [led by mayor of the city of Lviv]. The mentioned three political parties form the coalition. Pro-Russian ‘Opposition Bloc’ [made of former ruling Party of Regions] has obtained 9% of votes. In addition, Radical Party of oleg yashko and Batkivshchyna [led by Yulia Tymoshenko] have passed the barrier with 7 and 6% of votes correspondingly. The most radical political parties – the Right Sector and Svoboda have not passed the 5% barrier.
The new Parliament of VIII convocation has 44% of formed MPs. Every sixth newly elected MP voted for ‘dictatorial laws’ on January 16.
