Two servicemen from Russian Federation messed the checkpoints and accidentally came to Ukrainian militants having taken them for terrorists.
Spokesperson for Information and Analysis Center for National Security and Defense Council colonel Andriy Lysenko has reported this today during daily press briefing.
Yesterday Ukrainian servicemen detained a vehicle with 2 Russian militants at one of checkpoints near Donetsk airport. The militants came to fight on the side of terrorists. In particular, one of the detained servicemen had a task to collect information about call signs of terrorists and send it to the center of fighter training in Donetsk.
The detained ones came to Ukrainian checkpoint by accident thinking that they were stopped by pro-Russian fighters. One of servicemen had no documents, the other gave all personal documents he had and gladly spoke about his task appointed by the commandment. Only after that fighters saw Ukrainian flag at the checkpoint and realized they had made a mistake.
Both Russians have been handed to Security Service of Ukraine.One of the detained militants has come to Ukraine from the city of Murmansk [Russia].
