There’s an ongoing firing at the positions of Ukrainian border guards from Russian territory.

This night Ukrainian frontier guards have been shelled with 'Grad' systems and mortars from the territory of Russian Federation

From 11.50 pm July 21 to 00.30 am July 22 there was a mortar shelling of positions of border guards from Russian territory (about 40 shots). This is reported by the State Border Service of Ukraine.

After this the equipment went deeper into Russian territory (the conclusion was made judging by the noise of engines). There are no losses after the shelling, one border guard is wounded, 3 have got contusion.

From 03.30 am to 4.00 am another shelling has been carried out (about 7 shots). There are no losses among soldiers.

In total there have been 7 shellings of positions of Ukrainian border guards with mortars and and artillery. In the area of the settlement of Shevchenkove border guards have found traces of 14 ‘Grad’ systems entering Ukrainian territory from Russia. Then these systems took positions in the field and carried out firing at the positions of Ukrainian armed forces (as evidenced by traces on ground and burned grass).

The fact of violation of the state border is documented, respective photo- and video materials will be sent to Ministry of Internal Affairs and to Russia.

The border guards continue to register the facts of violation of the state border by Russian aviation. This night 2 helicopters Mi-8 have violated Ukrainian border. Then they returned to Russian territory and flew to the settlement of Voloshyno.
