Action in Moscow to support Ukraine: Moscow residents were singing Ukrainian anthem from police vehicles
Yesterday in the evening there was public action in Moscow to support Ukraine and lay flowers at its embassy in the city. The action was called ‘The evening of memory and sorrow’. People came there to bring flowers and light candles in memory of those who fight and die in Ukraine.
The activists were surrounded by police and large number of provocateurs and aggressive people. After some time policemen began to announce in loudspeakers that ‘Requiem is ended’ and demanded people to live the place. Then a number of people were detained.
According to UNIAN correspondent at least 3 police vehicles full of detained people left the Ukrainian embassy. Moscow residents loudly objected and began singing through open windows of police vehicles. They were singing the popular fan song about the president of Russian Federation and Ukrainian anthem. Also one could hear shoutings: ‘Putiniaku na gilliaku’, ‘Putin, Yanukovyck, Strelkov – hunta’.
