Ukrainian side will not take into account Russian amendments of the text of the Association Agreement with EU
President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said that text of the Association Agreement with EU would not be changed. He said this during press conference after a meeting with European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso on Friday, September 12.
‘[There will be] no exceptions, no changes of the text that I’ve signed on June 27 in Brussels’, – Poroshenko said.
Previously Minister of Economic Development of Russia Alexei Ulyukayev declared that Russia might take protective measures concerning Ukrainian goods if its wishes to the Ukraine Association Agreement would not be taken into account and the document would be signed in the current redaction.
On September 16 Ukraine intends to ratify the EU Association Agreement.
Earlier on September 10 Russia suggested a list of changes for the agreement text,
