Terrorists have suffered substantial losses near settlement of Smile

Spokesperson for Information and Analysis Center of National Security and Defense Council colonel Anriy Lysenko reported this during daily press briefing in Kyiv.

According to NSDC, during the last day there can be observed some decrease of terrorist activity compared to that the day before yesterday.

During the last day 4 Ukrainian soldiers were wounded. Fortunately, there were no losses.

In particular, one militant was wounded during terrorist shelling of checkpoint near the settlement of Smile [Luhansk oblast]. Terrorists have been attacking this checkpoint for more than 2 days. Having suffered substantial losses they do not risk another attack ands shell the checkpoint with small arms and mortars.

In general, according to NSDC, the intensity of terrorist shelling has decreased. During the last day they shelled positions of Ukrainian Armed Forces near the settlements of Donetsk, Luhansk, Popansa region, Novotroiske and Kamyanka [Donetsk oblast]. For more information – see the map above.

In addition yesterday terrorists made another attempt of attack at Donetsk airport. Ukrainian militants heroically hold this position of strategic importance.

Terrorists have unilaterally stopped the process of exchange of hostages.

During the last day Ukrainian border guards registered 4 cases of aerial reconnaissance of Russian drones near Mariupol and on the administrative border with temporarily occupied Crimea.
