Ukrainian armed forces destroyed about 120 terrorists, Russian shelling of our territory continues
This was reported by spokesman for Informational and Analytical centre of National Security and Defense Council colonel Andriy Lysenko during press briefing in Kyiv.
The situation in the ATO zone remains threatening. There is a high probability of intensification of sub-units of Russian Armed Forces and criminals on directions that are of priority for Russian aggression. The aim is to expand territories controlled by Russian terrorists.
There continue shellings of positions of Ukrainian armed forces. During the last day Ukrainian militants had 22 armed clashes with terrorists in the areas of 16 settlement in Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts. Also there are shelling of positions of Ukrainian forces from territory of Russian Federation.
Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe has confirmed shelling of Ukrainian territory from Russian side. ‘During the last week there were artillery explosions and firefights that could be heard in western and northern areas. Also for the first time observers registered shelling with light and heavy weapons from eastern and south-eastern regions that border with Ukraine’, – said the report of OSCE.
During the last 24 hours the ATO forces carried out a number of successful operations having destroyed more than 120 terrorists and Russian militants.
In the town of Mariupol press-officers of the National Guard conduct explanatory work through central media. All the services in Mariupol are working normally. The defense of the city is being increased by participation of locals, National Guards and another sub-units of the ATO forces.
According to the last data there’s battle in the village of Shirokyno near Mariupol. Russian tanks are trying to break through the defense. According to battalion of territorial defense ‘Azov’ Ukrainian militants keep their positions.
Sound of explosions are heard in Mariupol. In some district children are taken home from schools.
