Russia promises to impose protective measures against Ukraine if the Association Agreement is not changed
Sergey Lavrov, head of Russia Ministry of Foreign affairs believes that introduction of new sanctions might prevent peace process in Ukraine of becoming stable.
According to Lavrov the introduction of new round of sanctions of European Union undermines efforts of peaceful regulation of the crisis.
‘We believe that making such decision when the peace process becomes stable is, as we hope, is the decision to choose way of undermining of the peace process’, – he said.
If the Association Agreement with the EU does not change Russia will impose protective measures on Ukraine since November 1.
Minister of economic development of RF Aleksey Ulukaev informed this.
‘If they do not listen to us, if our partners and colleagues consider our arguments insignificant, unconvincing, than we’ll take appropriate protective measures. If there is ratification on September 17-18, than on November 1 protective measures will be introduced’. He stated that there will be symmetrical protective measures on the issues that ‘arouse concern’.
