Savchenko will eat before court sessions

Savchenko’s lawyer Illya Novikov says she will ‘starve selectively’ and consume some food before court sessions.

Ukrainian pilot Nadia Savchenko is illegally kept in Moscow prison on accusations of involvement in murder of two Russian journalists in summer 2014.

On Tuesday Savchenko was transferred from prison to city clinical hospital #20. Russian BBC informs that her health was rated satisfactory.

Laqyer Novikov talked to Savchenko on Wednesday and says she wants to return to prison because in the hospital she is not allowed to walk out of ‘dark and gloomy special block’. They put handcuffs on her even when she wants to go to bathroom.

The next trial of Savchenko is scheduled for May 13.
