Ukrainian servicemen managed to capture Russian tank T-72 at position of separatists.

Servicemen of the 2nd artillery battalion of 128th mechanized brigade captured Russian tank at positions of separatists.

Volunteer Oksana Horobievska informed this in her Facebook.

According to information Ukrainian servicemen gave to her, this tank used to fire at positions of our servicemen for more than a week. It was impossible to destroy the tank by artillery – the enemy’s T-72 appeared unexpectedly and disappeared after one or two shots.

So that Ukrainian servicemen decided to have a raid. At 02.00 am 6 servicemen penetrated to the enemy’s territories and found the tank.

When they started the engine terrorist fighters jumped out of the house and fled in panic probably thinking that Ukrainian servicemen would shoot at the house.

Artillerists successfully returned to their positions of the captured tank T-72. They immediately hang Ukrainian flag on it. Inside of the vehicle they found documents and Russian dry rations.

Currently the tank is used as tractor due to absence of spotter who would lead fire.

The photograph below displays the dry rations found in the tank. The inscription above says ‘Army of Russia’.
