Russian servicemen were ordered to prevent Donbas fighters from escaping to Russia from the occupied territories of Donbas. Spokesperson of headquarters of anti-terrorist operation colonel Andriy Lysenko informed this during press briefing in Kyiv.
According to his report, Russian military units located along Ukrainian-Russian state border have an order to prevent fighters of self-proclaimed DNR and LNR from leaving the occupied territories.
Lysenko mentioned that situation like this as already observed in June-July 2014, when under pressure of Ukrainian offense fighters made attempts to escape to Russian Federation.
However, on the border they were met with dense fire.
Spokesperson also informed, that according to reconnaissance data, there sharpened confrontation between terrorist fighters in town of Krasniy Lush in self-proclaimed Luhansk People’s Republic.
Sub-unit of Russian armed forces was attacked by unknown group of fighters and Russian fighters suffered losses.
Previously servicemen of this very sub-unit performed function of defensive squads during battles for Debaltseve bridgehead. Now they have task of elimination of gangs which do not obey commanders of illegal armed groups Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republic.
