Spokesperson of anti-terrorist operation colonel Andriy Lysenko informed this during press briefing in Kyiv.
Terrorist with code name ‘Filya’ was arrested by Ukrainian militants. The mentioned terrorist is a member of ‘Svat’ criminal group. The terrorist passed through special training in military camp in Sevastopol [city in Crimean peninsula that was annexed by Russian Federation in March 2014].
‘Filya’ planned to organize and carry out a number of terrorist acts in Ukrainian cities.
ATO spokesperson Andriy Lysenko reported that terrorists continued violating ceasefire. They attacked and shelled positions of Ukrainian Armed Forces. Terrorists used multiple rocket launcher systems ‘Grad’ to shell Ukrainian military units in the village of Peski [not far from Donetsk airport].
In course of the last 24 hours Ukrainian Armed Forces lost 3 servicemen, one was wounded.
One Ukrainian warrior was killed by sniper near the village of Nikishyne, two were killed in the area of Donetsk airport and village of Peski by small arms.
In addition, Colonel Lysenko informed about attempts of terrorist leaders to increase the number of personnel by recruiting more rank-and-file members.
Ukrainian intelligence reported about conflicts between regiments Russian Cossacks based in Luhansk oblast and militants from the so-called ‘Luhansk People’s republic’ supported by Russian military. The conflicts have intensified. Fighters from Luhansk Republic make attempts to take over towns currently controlled by Russian Cossacks.
