On September 21 the Peace March took place in Moscow and some other cities of Russia
There was no arrests of participants of the Peace march only clashes between activists.
The Peace March was agreed with Moscow authorities. According to its organizers the march was directed against the war in Ukraine and ‘aggressive policy of’ Russia.
People with posters ‘Putin, get out of Ukraine!’, ‘No to war against Ukraine’, ‘No to war against freedom’, ‘Putler caput’ walked the central streets of Moscow city. The application to Moscow authorities said about 50 000 of participants, police informed about 5 000, organizers calculated more than 10 000 people.
About 2 dozens of young people with flags of separatists DNR, LNR, Novorissiya [Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics, New Russia] and with posters saying ‘Peace march – march of supporters of killers’ and ‘Donbas, forgive us’ tried to join the demonstration but the police stopped them.
There also was a fight. The supporters of Ukrainian separatists were standing with posters that said ‘Shame to march of traitors’ and ‘Russian bring peace to Ukrainian people’. Some supporters of separatists also had painted graffiti ‘No to Junta’ and ‘Russian with DNR’.
The demonstrators of the peace march called for withdrawal of Russian troops from Ukrainian territory, investigation of facts of ‘illegal forcing of Russian militants to take part in hostilities in South-East of Ukraine’, ceasing of trade and gas war against Ukraine.
Anti-war actions were also held in some other russian citis, in particular Voronezh, Volgograd, Perm, Yekatirenburg, Rostov-on-Don, Stavropol, and also they were held in Berlin, Vienna, Paris, Burgas, Kyiv and Washington.
