Russian armed forces regroup and fortify their positions close to Ukrainian border

Spokesperson for Informational and Analytical Center of National Security and Defense Council colonel Andriy Lysenko reported this during daily press briefing in Kyiv.

Using the terminations of hostilities fighters try to escape from the localities of battles. Thus, yesterday raid group found a vehicle left by terrorists with a weapon – tank gun – left inside.

Armed Forces of Russian Federation continue to actively increase their forces at Ukrainian border in the occupied Crimea, they establish and fortify positions near Donetsk border front. 2 columns of military vehicles have driven to Ukraine in direction of the town of Mariupol. The columns included 172 units of tracked vehicles, 30 armoured personnel carriers and 200 trucks.

At another part of Ukrainian-Russian border, there has been established unit of Russian air defense that controls parts of air space of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts of Ukraine.

Situation in the localities of the conflict zone

Terrorists carry out filtration measures at controlled territories. They check documents of people returning to Luhansk with their lists. In the town of Rovenky [Luhansk oblast] they come to dwelling houses and check registration of people who live there. If they encouncter people who are not registered as residents of Luhansk oblast they detain them for indefinite period.
