The ‘passed’ Geneva agreements have become important for Russia against as soon as possibility of weapon supplies for Ukraine looms over the horizon.
Official representative of Russian Foreign Ministry Alexander Lukashevych have said during the press briefing in Kyiv that supplies of lethal weapons for Ukraine might violate Geneva agreements from April 17. Previously we informed that head of Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov called these agreements a ‘passed stage’.
Lukashevych believes that supplies of lethal weapons from the United States to Ukraine might be a serious destabilizing factor that could seriously influence the power balance in the region.
Previously, on the eve of congressional hearing Deputy National Security Advisor Tony Blinken declared that USA has to provide Ukraine with weapon.
Blinken indicated serious violations of Minsk agreements by Russia. According to him, providing Kyiv with lethal weapons might force Moscow to ‘think twice and keep it from further actions’.
