Spokesperson for Information and Analysis Center for National Security and Defense Council colonel Andriy Lysenko informed this during daily press briefing in Kyiv.
President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko had a meeting with Permanent Representatives of OSCE member states. During the meeting the parties discussed the necessity to establish effective control of Ukrainian-Russian border. The head of state addressed the OSCE representatives, asked for immediate intensification of efforts of special monitoring mission, and called to increase the number of observers up to 1500.
The president mentioned that, according to calculations of Ukrainian side, only this number of OSCE observers and at least 29 drones will help to provide objective control of the territory seized by terrorists. Poroshenko also underlined the importance of immediate implementation of Minsk agreements. He emphasized the importance of establishing control of Ukrainian-Russian border with the participation of OSCE representatives and corresponding video registration as prerequisite for further implementation of the Peace plan.
The head of state also paid attention to the numerous facts of violation of ceasefire regime and continuing usage of heavy artillery by [pro-Russian] fighters. He paid special attention to violation of rights of the Crimean Tatars in the occupied Crimea and asked to intensify efforts of OSCE state members for restoration of sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
