Spokesperson for Information and Analysis Center of National Security and Defense Council colonel Andriy Lysenko reported this during daily press briefing in Kyiv.
On October 14, 2014 President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko a telephone conversation with Vladimir Putin. During the conversation heads of states confirmed the necessity of strict compliance of agreements on ceasefire and withdrawal of troops. The politics have agreed on the agenda and format of the meeting during summit ‘Asia-Europe’ that will take place on October 16-17 in Milan.
Yesterday President of Ukraine visited Zaporizhzhya oblast during his working trip [Zaporizhzhya oblast is located west to Donetsk and Luhansk ones]. The head of state met with servicemen that participate in anti-terrorist operation. The President presented state awards for soldiers who had displayed courage and heroism in defending Ukrainian land.
In addition, president introduced new Minister of Defense Stepan Poltorak who had been approved by the parliament.
During his visit Petro Poroshenko visited the ‘Motor-Sich’ plant and examined the situation there. The plant will supply 13 helicopter for Ukrainian militants under state orders.
During the last day another 14 Ukrainian hostages were released from terrorist captivity. We remind that since the moment the ceasefire protocol had been signed, about 1500 Ukrainians were released from captivity.
