The so-called anti-terrorist operation began in Eastern Ukraine on April 13, 2014. One year later peace hasn’t been established despite numerous attempts made by Ukrainian government and international community.
On April 13, 2015 from midnight to 06.00 pm situation in Eastern Ukraine was tense. Press center of anti-terrorist operation informs about 25 cases of shelling along the demarcation line. In 15 cases terrorist used mortars which should have already been withdrawn according to Minsk agreements.
The largest number of ceasefire violations was registered in Donetsk oblast. Ukrainian positions near Pisky, Shyrokino, Opytne, Granitne, Avdiivka and Dutovka mine were shelled with different types of weapon including 82 mm and 120 mm mortars.
In Luhansk oblast illegal armed groups used small arms and mortars to shell positions of Ukrainian forces. In addition, Ukrainian servicemen registered flight of 2 enemy’s drones. Residential areas were not shelled.
