One step closer to recognize Russia as a sponsor of terrorism

The most important events for September 15, 2014 by Dmytro Tymchuk.

1. Joint Ukrainian-American trainings ‘Rapid Trident 2014’ have started in Lvov oblast. 15 countries will participate in it.

Military and political importance of such trainings for Ukraine hardly needs to be commented. Though such, but this is ‘military’ support from the west. No wonder the Kremlin organized its ‘ritual screams’ about ‘destabilization of the situation in region’ before the start of the trainings.

According to Ministry of Defense, the scenario of ‘hybrid war’ will be trained. This is the same war that Russian is currently waging against Ukraine, including different provocations and informational aggression.

2. The Information Resistance group registers frequent cases of ‘friendly fire’ among non-friendly Russian terrorist troops. Terrorist shell sub-units of Russian army and each other. They use not only small arms but also artillery.

According to the data of Information Resistance group, we deal with very weak interaction between DNR and LNR groups of fighters and with Russian fighters. This is the weak spot of the enemy that should be used (not during the ‘truce’, of course). It is bad that the interaction between Ukrainian armed forces and volunteer battalions is also far from ideal.

3. European media have reported on September 15: EU can strengthen sanctions against Russia, and what is important, it can finally recognize DNR and LNR [Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics] terrorists organizations. In particular, when talking about this German publication Blind referred to the secret protocol of meeting of ambassadors of EU member states.

Sanctions against Russian Federation is always good, like butter added to pop, it will not be superfluous. Moreover, recognition of terrorists as terrorists brings recognition of Russia as a state that sponsors terrorism. This is an achievement, given that they cannot name Moscow what it really is – an aggressor.
