NSDC: Russia is trying to create a new front of armed conflict in the south of Donetsk oblast

This was reported during daily press briefing in Kyiv by Colonel Andriy Lysenko, spokesman for the Information and Analytics Centre of National Security and Defense Council.

The situation in the ATO area is marked with the activation of fighters’ and Russian armed forces activity in eastern and southern directions of Donetsk oblast. The number of provocations st Ukrainian-Russian border has increased. Thus from its side Russia is trying to create a new front of armed conflict in the south of Donetsk oblast.

After yesterday’s break through Ukrainian border 12 BMD of enemy were destroyed by precise strikes of Ukrainian artillery and aviation. Currently Ukrainian militants have fortified their defense near the town of Novoazovsk. The shelling of Novoazovsk hasn’t ceased yet.

There continue active battles in suburbs of Donetsk, Luhansk and Ilovaisk. Ukrainian militants direct their efforts to block all roads and driveways to Donetsk and Horlivka. The most fierce battles take place in areas of Ilovaisk and Khryshchuvate.

During the last 24 hours the ATO forces had 29 armed clashes with terrorists in number of settlement in different areas of the ATO zone.

During the last day terrorists lost more than 200 people. The ATO forces destroyed 2 tanks, 8 armoured combat vehicles, 2 Grad systems, 2 cars and one cannon.

NSDC: Ukrainian border guards prevented the invasion Russian saboteur group

According to the Main Defense Ministry Headquarters, mercenaries and Russian charterers dismounted the equipment of strategic military complex productions, in particular, the Luhansk electronic engineering factory and “Yunist” factory in Krasnodon. As of this moment, 4 vehicles with high-precision equipment have been taken from Donetsk “Tochmash” plant to Makyyivka, possibly to be transported further to Russia.
