NSDC reports about arrival of new Russian reconnaissance unit to Novoazovsk


Spokesperson for Information and Analysis Center of National Security and Defense Council colonel Andriy Lysenko reported this during daily press briefing in Kyiv.

According to NSDC, there were no major armed clashes between Ukrainian Armed Forces and terrorists during the last day. The major terrorist activity is concentrated near Donetsk airport, the town of Shchastya and Debaltsevo.

Positions of Ukrainian Armed Forces were shelled with ‘Grad’ multiple rocket launcher systems in the area of several settlement in Donetsk and Luhansk oblast.

During the last day, Ukrainian Armed Forces lost seven servicemen. It should be noted that 6 of them were blown up on mines while carrying out counter-terrorism measures. Terrorists had installed the mines.

Arrival of Russian reconnaissance unit

At midday, NSDC has reported about increasing number of manpower and military equipment of illegal armed groups in southern direction. In particular, yesterday new special unit of Russian military reconnaissance arrived to a location near Novoazovsk. Servicemen of this unit do not hide their belonging to Armed Forces of Russian Federation.

The tendency of activation of aerial reconnaissance near Mariupol continues. During the last day, Ukrainian servicemen registered 6 Russian drones.
