In the town of Horlivka that is being controlled by terrorists people live in basements, give birth in bomb shelters, and local morgues are full of dead bodies because the agencies that give death certificates don’t function.
This is reported by journalist Roman Bochkala on his Facebook page with the reference to an eyewitness if the town of Horlivka.
‘Terrible things take place in Horlivka. Nobody supports DNR for a long time already. People are terribly afraid. They just want to survive’, – Bochkala informs. According to a local resident people actually live in basements.
Bochkala quotes the local resident of town of Horlivka: ‘Twice a day they bring heavy machine gun to the wall of our house and start firing. It is unknown where, but we know quite well that the ‘response’ may come any moment. They have installed the artillery position and fortified it with concrete blocks at the territory of kindergarten close to our school’.
According to an eyewitness there are 3 nurses remaining in psychiatric hospital, they can’t manage to take care of the patients. Morgues are packed full, the service that give death certificates doen’t function and thus nobody can bury dead.
‘Women give birth in bomb shelters because maternity ward in the hospital has been shelled. Terrorists set lots of stretch marks and mines. We are scared to go and fetch the water. They [terrorists] ruin the infrastructure. Lots of those who have stayed in the town would like to leave it, but they’ are afraid they won’t get to the safe place alive.
It was previously informed in Ukrainian media that on July 28 17 civilians including 3 children were killed as a result of battles in Gorlivka.
