Nadia Savchenko is slowly dying

Advocate of Nadia Savchenko Illya Novikov visited his client in the prison hospital ‘Sailor’s silence’.

According to the advocate, Nadia Savchenko still refuses to eat, however, she drinks 2 liters of water daily. In addition, she doesn’t prevent doctors from giving her any injections they think necessary.

‘Frankly speaking, she is dying, she is dying very slowly’, – Novikov informed.

Nadia Savchenko was captured by pro-Russian separatists in Eastern Ukraine in June 2014. After transportation to Russia she was accused of involvement in murder of two Russian journalists at Ukrainian territory.

On December 13, 2014 Nadia Savchenko stated her hunger strike.

Recently she knocked the plate of food over the guard who behaved brutally with her thus demonstrating her determination to continue the riot.

Recently Nadia Savchenko was included into Ukrainian delegation to PACE. However, despite demands, Russian Federation refused to set Savchenko free.

Moscow Basmanny court prolonged the term of her detention to February 13, 2014.
