Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Andriy Parubiy declares that Russia has placed about 41,000 of soldiers at Ukrainian-Russian border.
According to UNIAN correspondent he has declared this at the parliamentary meeting.
According to Parubiy the have been regrouping and increasing of number of Russian troops at Ukrainian border this week.
Parubiy underlined that Russian continues to escalate the armed conflict in the Eastern region of Ukraine and ‘makes every effort to create conditions for introducing of its regular troops into Ukrainian territory under the guise of peacekeeping troops’.
Speaking about the number of Russian troops at Ukrainian border Parubiy has mentioned that there are 150 tanks, more than 1 thousand unit of armoured vehicles and 500 units of artillery system close to the country border. All these weapons are concentrated in direction to Donetsk.
The NSDC secretary has mentioned that the same situation is being observed in the other directions at Ukrainian border. According to him ‘there are concentrated about 300 units of military equipment including tanks and ‘Grad’ volley fire systems and the latest ‘Tornado’ systems’.
