Lawyers published the first materials of the criminal case against Nadia Savchenko.

‘So, we’ll publish the first material of the criminal case against Nadia Savchenko. This is a testimony of the leader of the unrecognized Luhansk People’s Republic Igor Plotnitskiy. His readings are directly related to the events of the June 17 and June 23 2014, the date of the captivity of Savchenko and her allegedly «voluntary resign» from the battalion «Zarya» (Dawn)’ – wrote Feigin.
As UNIAN reported earlier, gunmen kidnapped Savchenko in the Donbas in summer of 2014, after which she was moved to Russia, where she was accused of involvement to the deaths of Russian journalists. However, according to the data of lawyers, she could not be involved in the deaths of journalists, because she had captured before their death.
On October 26th, 2014 Savchenko was elected to the parliament at the preliminary elections in Ukraine. Verkhovna Rada delegated her to PACE.
On April 24th, 2014 the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation presented to Savchenko final charge in complicity in the murder of two or more persons and illegal border crossing.
