President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has stated this during joint press conference with president of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaite.
‘We have agreed to supply specific elements of specific weapons for Ukrainian Armed Forces. This is a real help’, – said Petro Poroshenko. However, he did not specify what type of weapon we are dealing with.
The President added that training of Ukrainian servicemen in Lithuania would be provided.
‘Besides, we have agreed to increase the number of militants that we will be able to send to treatment to Lithuania from zone of ATO [anti-terrorist operation] to 50 persons’.
In her turn, Dalia Rgybauskaite confirmed her intent on military cooperation. She stated readiness of Lithuania to share experience in all areas including military one she promised to give Ukraine support and provide training of Ukrainian servicemen. She also did not specify the type of weapon that Ukraine will be supplied with.
In addition, the presidents have signed the Roadmap for Partnership Development for the next two years.
