KYIV, April 11. The language law by Kolesnichenko-Kivalov will not be canceled, Ukraine’s Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk said at a meeting in Donetsk on the decentralization of power and new wording of the Constitution.
“I honestly said, and once again want to confirm that the Kolesnichenko-Kivalov law – whatever I would treat it – today is in effect and can’t be canceled,” Yatseniuk said.
He added that nobody in Ukraine and never under any circumstances will restrict the use of Russian and other languages.
“We need to preserve the integrity of the state,” the head of government concluded.
