Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said this in his interview to TASS news agency.
‘Preliminary results of Ukrainian elections show that Ukrainian people have voted. – said Lavrov. – We leave aside the numerous violations that took place during preparations for the elections, those forced methods that were applied to the number of candidates and measures to eliminate other political forces from the political process’.
‘But, nevertheless, the voting took place’, – he added.
After Parliamentary Elections on Sunday Russian Federation lost the argument it often used for its propaganda about the alleged lack of democratic mandate of the authorities from Ukrainian people.
Michal Boni, deputy of European Parliament that was an OSCE observer at the elections said this.
According to MEP, Russian will not let go. It will b aggressive and will be searching for new methods of pressure. The argument that Ukrainian authority is illegitimate now falls out of game.
The deputy said that undoubtedly Russian pressure on Ukraine would increase. He also called the situation in Ukraine difficult and mentioned that Ukrainian government faces the great challenge – provide heat for the citizens in autumn and winter.
