Her name is Khrystyna Soloviy and her voice will go right into your heart.
Khrystyna Soloviy is a Ukrainian singer who debuted on TV in 2013 in Voice of Ukraine [Holos Krainy]. The 20 years old girl shocked everyone when she said she’d refuse sing any Russian pop-song and performed mostly folk music until leaving the show in semi-final.
At the age of 12 the girl discovered that she had Lemkos roots. Lemkos is one of many sub-groups that lived in Carpathian Mountains. The girl was really interested in their culture and song believing that there is something in them that penetrates right into the soul.
Khrystyna continued her musical career with the help of Svyatoslav Vakarchuk, the frontman of popular rock band Okean Elzy.
Currently she has released one album consisting of 2 songs written by her and 10 folk songs.
