Journalists Illya Azar criticized the policy of Russian president in his award speech
On September 16 in Moscow in Moscow journalists Illya Azar condemned the policy of the Kremlin against Ukraine in his award speech when receiving Award of the Person of the Year.
The journalist gave thanks to redactors that had given him possibility to write objectively about the events in Donbas. He mentioned that he considers this award to belong to every journalists who risks their life and go to Donbas.
The Azar addressed the audience that it ‘would be better if people didn’t die in Maidan, Russian would not annex Crimea, people would continue to eat French oysters and civilians wouldn’t die in Donbas’.
The journalists expressed hopes that Putin would stop his aggression and would no longer send Russian soldiers and weapons to Donbas.
The speech of the journalists was cut off and not shown on any of Russian TV channels.
