Deputy of Chairman of the Duma Committee on International Affairs Leonid Kalashnikov said that ‘it doesn’t matter who has shot the plane down’.
He declared this in his interview on the TV channel ‘Dozhd’. Answering to the journalists question about the possibility to determine the culprit Kalashnikov said: ‘Will you fell better if you find this out?’.
‘You determine who should be punished. And the one who pressed the button on different reason – he should be punished, shouldn’t he? Those and the other should be punished. I’m talking about what is dangerous today. This is what is bad. You’re trying to understand who has pressed the button, but you’re not trying to understand that the conflict should be stopped. It doesn’t matter who has pressed the button. It is important that there’s the conflict. It’s important that they can shot down more planes. That’s what is bad’, – he declared.
US government said that Ukraine didn’t have possibility to use air defense systems in the region where that plane of Malaysia Airlines was shot down, although Ukrainian government might have such air defense systems in other parts of the country.
