During this weekend (April 25-26) Russian-terrorist forces in Eastern Ukraine conducted shelling along the whole demarcation line. They also used the ‘withdrawn heavy military equipment’ like 120 mm mortars, heavy armored vehicles, artillery of 122 mm and 152 mm caliber.

Member of Parliament, coordinator of ‘Information Resistance’ group Dmitriy Tymchuk informed this.

On Saturday April 25 Russian-terrorist forces shelled positions of ATO forces in Shyrokine during the whole day. Tank was firing under cover of mortars, they also used grenade launchers and large caliber machine guns. When Ukrainian forces started firing in response activity of terrorist shelling sharply decreased.

Near the village of Peski in area of Donetsk airport two groups of fighters made another attempt to move towards positions of Ukrainian forces.

The attack had a well-established pattern. One group tried to suppress weapon emplacements of ATO forces by dense fire while another group moved to positions of Ukrainian servicemen.

However, as soon as fire cover group consisting of about 20 terrorists with automatic grenade launchers, mortars and large caliber machine guns stumbled upon prepared system of fire resistance it began to retreat. Correspondingly, movement of groups became problematic and stopped.

In the area of Peski terrorists also used armored military equipment, 122 mm caliber artillery and anti-aircraft guns. Dmitriy Tymchuk points out that these weapons were used in complex, according to the rules of tactics of ground troops.

In addition, Russia backed forces were quite persistent in shelling Ukrainian positions with heavy infantry weapons. In some places shelling was carried out to cover regrouping of terrorist forces.

Experts of information resistance group also register attempts of fighters to conduct reconnaissance by suing drones and subversive intelligence groups.
