Former human right activist killed in Donbas

Igor Shuvalow was commander of tank platoon and fought on the side of self-proclaimed Luhansk People’s Republic.

Russian news agency ‘Rosbalt’ referring to former deputy of Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg Vladimir Fedorov. Formed deputy said that Mr. Shuvalov had gone to Donbas in summer and took young servicemen with him.

From Donetsk the human right activist went to the territory occupied by fighters of Luhansk People’s Republic. There he was trained as tankman, received military rank and commanded tank platoon.

According to his friend Fedorov, Shuvalov go injured on February 10 during battles for Debaltseve. On February 13 he was disconnected from life support system.
