Formation of new military units of Russian occupation troops in Crimea

Operative data from ‘Information Resistance’ group.

According to operative data, yesterday on October 14, 2014 representatives of Russian ‘Cossack’ illegal armed groups informed about creation of the so-called Cossack People’s Republic. Cossacks informed residents of three towns about it – Sverdlovsk, Rovenky and Antratsyt. Cossacks intralled their checkpoint on the entrances to Sverdlovsk.

Formation of new military units of Russian occupation troops in Crimea

Experts of ‘Information Resistance’ group report about increasing number of Russian occupation troops on the territory of occupied Crimea and formation of new military units.

In particular, 8-th separate Artillery Regimen was formed in the composition of Simferopol coastal forces of Armed Forces of Russian Federation. The regiment is armed with about 60 cannon and volley fire artillery systems (self-propelled howitzers and multiple rocket launcher systems) and portable ATGM [anti-tank guided missile].

In the area of isthmus there is formation of mixed artillery group of occupational troops that consists of five sub-unis of Russian Armed Forces that have previously been sent to Crimea.
