Forces of anti-terrorist operation are preparing to carry out their duties in winter

Forces of anti-terrorist operation repel the attack near Debaltsevo

Spokesperson for Information-Analytical Center of National Security and Defense Council reported this during daily press briefing in Kyiv.

During the last day Russian mercenaries attacked positions of Ukrainian armed forces near the town of Debaltseve and near the village of Trudivske two times. All the attacks were repelled.

During the last day 9 Ukrainian militants died heroically. 27 soldiers were wounded. From 07.00 am this morning, no shelling of positions of the ATO forces have been registered. There are only firefights between criminal groups.

State Border Service equips and strengthens security along the territory controlled by the forces of anti-terrorist operation. Cooperation with local law enforcement agencies and local government has been established.

Sub-units have received new party of armoured and motor vehicles. They are preparing to carry out their duty in winter period.

During the last day, there were no armed clashes between border guards and terrorists.

There continues relocation of armed forces of Russian Federation on Crimean Peninsula. The position of Russian armed forces near the town of Armyansk have been reinforced with 10 armoured personnel carriers, 10 tanks and 3 “grad’ multiple rocket launcher systems.

The work of trilateral group of common centre and coordination of ceasefire continues. Common analytical groups have been created on the most critical directions. Thus, there have been created group of missile forces and artillery and missile defense weapons group. They consist of 56 Ukrainian officers who will arrive at the monitoring places today.

Since 07.00 am no shelling of positions of the forces of anti-terrorist operation has been registered.
