Fighters shelled a convoy of 72 military brigade returning from Russia where they had been forced to retreat the previous day.
This is reported by the ATO press service.
‘Terrorists have resorted to new meanness. They fired at convoy of unarmed Ukrainian soldiers of 72 brigade (195 people) that were returning from the territory of Russian Federation’, – it is said in the report.
They reminded in the ATO headquarters that previously a part of ATO forces had to retreat to Russian territory due prolonged shelling with tanks, heavy artillery and BM-21 ‘Grad’ systems and the fact that they had run out of ammunition. They underline in the headquarters that before retreat soldiers blew up the remnants of military equipment and destroyed their weapon.
‘The invaders probably knew about the route of movement of the column. Their mean attack was aimed to discredit the commandment of the ATO forces and the state government’. The ATO press service informs that none of Ukrainian militants was injured.
