Fighters don’t stop using banned weapons

In Eastern Ukraine situation is still tense. Russia-backed fighters keep using weapons officially banned by Minsk agreements.

On May 6, 2015 fighters shelled positions of Ukrainian Armed Forces more than 40 times in total.

From midnight to 06.00 pm ceasefire regime was violated 32 times.

In Mariupol sector they shelled Shyrokine settlement using wide range of weapons including 152mm guns.

In Donetsk sector there were cases of shelling near Hranitne village and ‘Dutovka’ mine. Ukrainian positions near Avdiivka and Pisky were shelled with large-caliber guns and small arms.

In Luhansk sector the enemy used automatic grenade launchers and small arms to fire at Ukrainian positions near Shchastya town.

One civilian was wounded during shelling of Leninske settlement.

In the second part of the day situation was of the same tendency. From 06.00 pm to midnight there were 11 cases when terrorists showed how they care about international agreements and ceasefire.

Fighters used mortars of 120 and 82 mm calibers to conduct active shelling of Ukrainian positions.

Our positions near Pisky, Mayorsk, Hranitne, Shchastya, Troitske, Kryakivke and Orehovo-Donetsk suffered shelling.

Terrorist also used automatic grenade launchers and small arms.
