Feigin explained why Ukrainian doctors aren’t allowed to examine Savchenko

According to lawyer of Nadia Savchenko Mark Feigin, Ukrainian doctors aren’t allowed to examine Savchenko because they can give medical grounds to change her preventive measure.

He explained that according to criminal procedural legislation of Russian Federation preventive measure for imprisoned person should be changed if his health deteriorates so much that it falls under the list of illnesses with are incompatible with imprisonment.

‘And the investigation and those who order this all think like that – Ukrainian doctors will come and with our permission make a diagnosis of some acute pancreatitis, which is included into that list. And then, based on this [diagnosis], we have the right to file petition to the court demanding to change preventive measure’, – Feigin said. That is why before every court session doctors give certificate of satisfactory health of Savchenko so that her defense cannot appeal to medical indicators.

Nadia Savchenko declared that she will resume her hunger strike if Ukrainian doctors don’t examine her and correct her menu to get out of starvation until the end of this week.

Savchenko underlined that prison doctors inject her new products which are not allowed for her and these product caused development of acute pancreatitis.
