Easter holidays are traditionally considered to be the time for love, compassion and humility. But it is also the time to dig deeper into our souls and make sure we really experience all those wonderful sentiments rather than just hold up a tradition, beloved of all of us. In his poignant and ironic Facebook post (https://www.facebook.com/makarevichav/posts/1696289413721228) Andrey Makarevich urges all of us to be, rather than just seem.
“I see current holidays as a big trim spectacle, where everyone silently agreed that everything is in deed and not in name. Because if it is all really in deed and not in name – where do so much anger and hatred around us come from? We hate Americans, British, Ukrainians, “liberals”, gays … actually each other. Ourselves. Jesus’ love and humility have nothing to do with it. And while it is so – you can paint all the eggs in the world: it will not get any lighter.
Well, and to those who really believe – I wish you a bright holiday.”
We can only add that we very much hope this miracle will happen and eventually the hate of the world will be turned into love!
