Experts of ‘Information Resistance’ group about fierce battles in the area of Donetsk airport

Here is an operative data from experts of ‘Information Resistance’ group.

During the last day experts registered more than 50 cases of shelling carried out by Russian-terrorist forces. In particular:

  • Donetsk direction – shelled 26 times
  • Luhansk direction – 15 cases of shelling
  • Debaltsevo direction – shelled 7 times
  • Pervimaisk direction – shelled 7 times.

Fierce battles near Donetsk airport

There were fierce battles in the area of Donetsk airport and the settlement of Avdiivka. After regrouping and re-supply of their forces, Russia-terrorist troops carried out a number of attacks. They delivered flank attacks with several assault groups supported by armored equipment and covered by artillery fire. In their turn, Ukrainian troops managed to thwart these attacks by delivering artillery strikes at concentrating and attacking enemy. However, the enemy actively inflicted mortar strikes in the area of Donetsk airport, the settlement of Peski and Avdiivka.

Situation on Debatlsevo bridgehead

In the area of settlement of Debaltsevo unidentified unit shelled and attacked from ambush a joint tactical group of one of mechanized infantry formations of the Army of Russian Federation. The group was moving to the area of its combat mission. The group was attacked by unidentified unit of Ukrainian servicemen. Joint mechanized tactical group lost some part of its personnel, 2 units of military equipment were destroyed.

The enemy also tries to reinforce its armed group in the area of Debaltsevo by transferring additional weapons there. Expert of ‘Information Resistance’ group registered minimum 2 supply convoys which included towed artillery systems (in general up to 12 units of artillery).

Previously we have informed that Ukrainian army and terrorist fighters have agreed for a new ceasefire since December 5.
