Does Luhansk Republic create battalion to sweep pro-Ukrainian civilians?

Press-officer of anti-terrorist operation General Staff Volodymyr Korinyaka informed this.

According to him, new military unit – assault battalion ‘Shchastya’ [Happiness] is created by fighters of Luhansk People’s Republic. The battalion consists of 500 people. The base for this military unit consists of fighters from illegal armed groups which have participated in battles for Debaltseve.

According to Mr. Korinyaka, personnel of new military unit is equipped with new body armor, imagers, night vision devices and moderns small arms.

According to preliminary data, the chief task of this battalion is to ‘sweep’ town of Shchastya from pro-Ukrainian residents. Press officer explained that fighters might start their sweeping if they take town of Shchastya under their control. Currently this settlement is controlled by Ukrainian Armed Forces.
