On Wednesday, March 25, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced the launch of the state project “Easter at Home”. According to him, at the moment the project is only being prepared. Zelensky says, he has talked with the heads of the churches and enlisted their support.
“Easter usually gathers a lot of people in the church. Among them, there are those who come from abroad. So, now we are preparing and will soon present the project “Easter at home”, which will help celebrate this major holiday at home, without gathering in crowds in churches,” said the president.
Zelensky did not mention the details of the new state project. However, from what he said, one can conclude that there will be an online Easter even, held in the mode of video conferencing. “Church leaders understand that worship can be conducted online, in the form of a video conference. If a ceremony requires the presence of people, then you need to limit the number of parishioners. All church leaders agree with this,” Zelensky said.
