Conflict for resource allocation between DNR and LNR

Spokesperson for Information and Analysis Center of National Security and Defense Council colonel Andriy Lysenko reported this during daily press briefing in Kyiv.

NSDC reports that terrorists don’t stop shelling residential areas on the territories they control. They shelled dwelling houses in the village of Nikishyne on Donetsk oblast.

Study in 12 schools in Luhansk oblast has been suspended due to constant shelling of LNR terrorists. it is too dangerous to visit school in the areas of shelling.

NSDC registers increasing number of skirmishes between groups of armed fighters. They fight for control of the various property complexes. In particular, leaders of DNR [Donetsk People’s Republic] have strengthened their protection because they are afraid other gangs would try to destroy them. They confrontation between gangs has acquired such intensity that several groups formed of residents of Crimean peninsula have refused to participate in further hostilities and plan to return to Crimea as soon as possible.

Conflict for resource allocation

The conflict between DNR and LNR [Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics] for resource allocation continues to escalate. Illegal armed groups cannot equally divide resources they get from Russia. Donetsk terrorists accuse Luhansk ones of arrogating of majority of resources.

Split inside LNR

In addition, the split inside the so-called LNR deepens. In particular, Russian ‘Cossacks’ have declared the formation of the co-called Cossack Republic and Antratsyt garrison in the area of 3 towns in Luhansk oblast – Sverdlovsk, Rovenky and Antratsyt. The ‘Cossack’ leaders threaten to destroy gangs that would refuse to join that garrison.
