Realization of Canadian training program will last until 2017.
Ambassador of Canada to Ukraine Roman Vashchuk said this during meeting of strategic discussion club ‘Ukraine-NATO: diagnosis of partnership’.
According to him, the program that United States and the National Guard carry out in Ukraine and the program that Canada will provide until 2017 will give Ukraine thousands of servicemen trained according to NATO standards.
The Ambassador mentioned that practice cooperation brings Ukraine and NATO together. According to Vashchuk, Ukraine should appoint professional and knowledgeable people for key posts to cooperate with NATO.
In April 2015 Canadian government decided to send about 200 servicemen to Ukraine to carry our military exercises and training for soldiers of Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Depending on type of training Canadian military experts would live in Ukraine on regular or periodic bases. They will conduct training on mine clearance and disposal of explosive remnants, ammunition disposal, training of military officers, doctors, safety of flying and update of system of military logistics.
