Ceasefire as an opportunity to reinforce Ukrainian army.
Summary of the most important events for September 5, 2014 by head of Centre of Military and Political Studies and coordinator of Information Resistance group Dmytro Tymchuk.
1. On the main news of September 5, 2014 – ceasefire in Donbas.
Let us be honest: we learned in June what such agreements on ceasefire are worth. The pause will definitely be used to strengthen, bring new weapons and sub-units of Russian armed forces and prepare for attack.
But today Ukrainian troops are in need of ceasefire. The vigorous invasion of Russian army into Ukraine couldn’t pas unnoticed – out troops that have been in exhaustive battles and now in urgent need of respite. I will not tell how bad the things are – there’s plenty of people to do it. But I hope that our military commandment will use this ceasefire wisely. If only Ukrainian government still has enough will to fight for its land.
2. On Friday [September 5] DNR [Donetsk People’s Republic] again proved its primitive identity. As soon as leaders of terrorists organization went to Minsk there was an attempt of ‘coup d’etat’ as ‘Minister of DNR security’ Leonid Baranov called it.
According to Baranov some rogue Vladimir Akinfeev – fellow and boon companion of current DNR leaders tried to capture ‘power’ in Donetsk. He ‘dismissed several ministers’, issued warrant for arrest of ‘DNR activists’ and imprisoned Baranov’s secretary in basement (this secretary must be symbol of ‘state power’ in DNR).
What can one say on this issue. One can understand Vovka Akinfeev – he also wants to rude. Why another criminals can and he cannot? So that dear DNR prime-ministers should take care and don’t turn their backs on their companions.
