Here is an operative data about current situation in Eastern Ukraine from press service of Anti-terrorist operation headquarters. The news was informed by press officer of the headquarters Leonid Matiukhin during press briefing in Kyiv.

Terrorist shelling in the ATO zone

During the last night Russian-terrorist troops shelled positions of Ukrainian forces 8 times.

‘This night in the ATO zone has been restless. Illegal armed groups shelled positions of Ukrainian militants 8 times using small arms, mortars and artillery’, – said Mr.Matuikhin.

Russian-terrorist forces shelled Donetsk airport and 5 settlements.

Terrorist fighters fired at new terminal of Donetsk airport and settlement of Petrovskiy with small arms. Settlements of Pisky and Hranitne were shelled with mortars.

In addition, Russian-terrorist forces used artillery to shell villages of Pisky and novotroitske.

Activation of aerial reconnaissance

The enemy has activated its aerial reconnaissance in the area of town of Mariupol. During the last day drones were spotted near 4 settlements around Mariupol – Novoselivka, Talakivka, Sartana and Hnutove.

Armed clash between Russian-terrorist troops and Ukrainian forces

Yesterday there was an armed clash between Russian forces and Ukrainian Armed Forces near the settlement of Pervomaisk.

‘In the area of Pervimaisk there was an armed clash between Ukraine’s enemies and its defenders’, – said Leonid Matiukhin.

According to ATO press service, 3 Ukrainian servicemen were wounded during the last day.

Press office of the headquarters also informed that Ukrainian servicemen continue to keep their positions and ensure safety of civilians. They continue delivering humanitarian aid to settlements which need it most of all.
