Ambulance helicopter Mi-8 that was carrying wounded from the ATO area shot by terrorists

This was reported by NSDC Information Centre Spokesman Andriy Lysenko during press briefing in Kyiv.

Militants shot down plane MiG-29 of 40-th brigade of tactical aviation near the town of Yenakievo. The pilot made everything possible to avert the threat from residential areas and only then catapulted. The pilot is alive, search and rescue works are being carried out.

Yesterday at 06.40 pm terrorists began to fire at ambulance helicopter Mi-8 that was carrying wounded from the ATO area. According to all international laws shelling of such machines is prohibited. They are marked with special signs that are impossible to miss.

The crew made an emergency landing. 3 pilots were injured. Currently they all are located in hospital on territory controlled by the ATO forces.

Andriy Lysenko once again underlined that weapon used to shot down planes came from Russia. NSDC possesses number of proofs of this including photos of arsenal seized by Ukrainian militants in the area of settlement of Krasnogorivka.

The separate trophy – a compact handled flamethrower. It was produced in Russian Federation. Information about the producer was removed, but data about the number and series remained because it cannot be removed.

In this regard statements of Russian Federation about the need for humanitarian assistance to terrorist organizations look particularly cynical because we clearly understand what Russian humanitarian aid means.
