33 miners were killed by explosion of methane in Zasyadka mine in Donbas. Donetsk state administration informs this.
The explosion took place on Wednesday, March 4, at 05.20 am. 230 miners were underground when mixture of gas and methane exploded.
The mine is located on the territory of self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic. After explosion DNR refused to accept help from Ukraine.
According to order of President Poroshenko, March 5 was announced a mourning day in Ukraine.
At midday memory of all victims was commemorated by minute of silence.
On all governmental buildings throughout the country the state flag have been lowered. All entertainment events have been canceled, schedules of TV and radio programs have been changed correspondingly.
